Step 1 of 2

iMessage (Mac)

Open Terminal on your Mac and paste this command:

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://lovereplay.app/export.sh)"

You can read the full script source before running it.

About Full Disk Access

This is the same permission the Messages app uses to read your texts. The script walks you through granting it. After granting access, quit Terminal (Cmd+Q) and rerun the command once.

What does this script do?
  1. 1 Installs Homebrew (a widely-used Mac package manager) if needed
  2. 2 Installs imessage-exporter (an open-source tool for reading iMessages)
  3. 3 Helps you grant Full Disk Access (the same permission the Messages app uses to read your texts)
  4. 4 Shows your conversations and lets you pick ONE to export
  5. 5 Saves the export to your Desktop
